Vision Statement
The goal of the Institute for Independent Music is to increase public awareness of and access to independent music.
Mission Statement
The Institute for Independent Music (IFI Music)
is a non-profit organization dedicated to the support, development,
promotion and unity of independent musicians, the independent
musicians' community and its work. IFI Music seeks to offer artistic
and professional resources to those outside of the major music
industry, namely singers, songwriters, bands, production support
technicians and others in the independent music community. It is our
belief that these individuals will best be able to realize their
talents fully in a united atmosphere where support, collaboration, and
freedom of expression is facilitated and encouraged.
